Nutrition for Running
Meghann Featherstun MS RD CSSD
Fueling your body well is an essential element to successful running. What, when, and how much you eat can make or break your training and race day performance.
Meghann is a registered dietitian and certified specialist in sports dietetics – which means she’s an expert in sports nutrition and helping you assess your overall nutrition and identify areas for opportunity.
There is no single approach to nutrition for runners. Every runner’s journey is unique. Rachel Davis, Ph.D
Rachel’s experience as an athlete combined with her nutrition expertise makes her the BEST referral we can offer. With a Ph.D. in nutrition sciences, she has spent many years studying exercise physiology and how the body processes various fuel sources. Her goal is to help you better understand how to use nutrition to reach your running goals.
In 2017 and 2018, Rachel finished in the top 35 at the Boston Marathon and currently holds a personal best of 2:48. She doesn’t just understand what it means to fuel correctly; she lives it every day.
Getting the most out of your training plan involves so much more than running. Recovery, strength, and performance depend heavily on what you consume daily. Because of this, Rachel’s fuel coaching sessions are focused on aligning your nutrition with your training. When the two are synced, your workouts are more effective, you recover faster, and you run faster.
